STAKEHOLDER REQUIREMENTS
On our insightful ward rounds at the JJ Group of Hospitals Pediatric ward, we interacted with the supportive staff and the HOD, Dr. Bela Verma. We understood their pain points and gathered details on their care practices and child behaviors associated with IV therapy. Some of the important points the doctors needed in the new IV stabilization kit are:
Reliability, for the parents and caregivers to be assured that they can leave their child unattended for a while without additional stress.
Affordability, given the socio-economic backgrounds of the families
Water-resistant, for the IV setup to be used efficiently and increase the longevity
Child safe, to prevent kids from ingesting the caps on the IV line
Hypoallergenic, to prevent over-taping that leads to rashes.
